"Glass Bottom Boat Excursion"

The Port of Tobermory, at the northern most tip of the Bruce Peninsula offers a safe, protected harbor for cruise vessel passenger to explore the many Islands, underwater ship wrecks and unique geographic formations in the area. Tobermory is the departure Port for the passenger ferry M.S. Chi-Cheemaun. After dropping anchor in Little Tub Harbor, passengers transfer directly to The Blue Heron V. This 17-meter vessel has a passenger capacity of 96, and a glass bottom for viewing shipwrecks in the nearby Fathom Five National Marine Park. The excursion begins with a 45 minute transfer onboard the Blue Heron V over the remains of two 19th century shipwrecks, and concludes at Flower Pot Island. Passengers disembark at Flower Pot Island and are met with and are met with a local park Ranger leading a narrated 60-minute hike to the Flower Pot formations and back to the drop off docking location. Passengers are then transferred back to the ship, again onboard the Blue Heron V, passing several small islands, shallow underwater shoals and the Cove Island Lighthouse.
