Tour Guides & Added Value
t Lakeshore Excursions, we pride ourselves on the little things we do to make your passengers visit to the Port of Little Current more enjoyable. An industry expert once said, "that a great guide can enhance a great excursion." Our excursions are unique and interesting; we agree with this comment and have worked hard to recruit exceptional guides to accompany your passengers. We hire tour guides who have local expertise in the community, are excellent communicators, reliable and detail oriented. Lakeshore Excursions tour guides are well compensated; there are often retired educators and work as tour guides exclusively for our company.
We have performance contracts with most of our suppliers; so if the product that we deliver to your passengers is not exactly as we had promised, we will refund a portion of our fee. This seldom happens, but the performance contracts have ensured a more consistent product from our suppliers. Lakeshore Excursions use modern, air-conditioned motor-coaches and the drivers are professional, presentable and punctual.
Our company also works with the local business community to ensure that there are attractions on the pier for the passengers to enjoy. Each passenger receives a gift as they return to the ship to remind them of their time on Manitoulin Island. Local and regional newspapers are placed on board for both passengers and crew, and complimentary internet access is always available for crew to keep in touch with home. Passengers returning to Little Current typically have one hour built into their itineraries so they may take advantage of the many quaint shops and services located steps away from the pier.
At Lakeshore Excursion we think it's the attention to small details that have allowed the Port of Little Current to be successful, as the cruise industry has grown on the Great Lakes. Along with our excellent excursions, the beauty of the North Channel, and quaint community, we commit to including these added value services as part of what we do… every time your passengers visit our port.
